Jenna Greenwell is a Montana-based emerging songwriter known for capturing the nuanced details of life and bringing her audience to tears. By day, Jenna is a pastor, and her intimate understanding of the human soul is evident in her storytelling. Heavily influenced by Americana artists Lori McKenna, Brandi Carlile and Jason Isbell, she has become known as one of the strongest writers in the region and is quickly gaining a loyal following. Her debut EP, Yellow Sweatshirt, released in March 2024.
Yellow Sweatshirt compiles melodies written in a season of grief after Jenna lost her closest friend in a car accident. This five-song offering weaves threads of sorrow and joy, pain and hope, and acknowledges that hard seasons are best weathered together.
A lover of lyrics, Jenna weaves her Alison Krauss-esque vocals through melodies of life, love, family and faith for audiences that begin as strangers but end as friends. Before landing in Montana, she shared her songs on both coasts, to include the iconic stages of CBGBs, The River at Rancho Mirage, and The Bitter End NYC.
